I would have crushed him – Julio Cesar Chavez vs. Floyd Mayweather: “I would have beaten Mayweather

Julio Cesar Chavez is celebrating his 60th birthday, when he was at the peak of his boxing career he was considered the best in the world, he fought whoever was put in front of him, he never said no to any rival.
Among the fighters he faced and defeated were: Edwin “Chapo” Rosario, Hector “Macho” Camacho, Meldrick Taylor, Rocky Lockridge, Juan Laporte, Jose Luis Ramirez among others. But there was someone he beat twice: Roger Mayweather, Floyd’s uncle.
Roger used the shoulder roll defense and the one who perfected it was his nephew, who retired undefeated in 50 professional fights. Chavez knocked Roger out in two rounds in his first fight and in the second he did not retire in round 10. With this background the Mexican boxing legend has no doubt that he would have beaten Floyd.
Chavez sure of defeating Floyd
Julio Cesar Chavez gave an interview to ESPN on the occasion of his 60th birthday, the former champion was asked who he would have liked to face in his prime and this is what he answered.
“In my prime I would have liked to fight Floyd Mayweather. I would have beaten him at 140 pounds, I would have crushed him. He fought someone similar to me, Jose Luis Castillo, but with all due respect to Castillo he didn’t have what I had. The push, the bending. I think I would have beaten him by unanimous decision,” said Julio Cesar.
