Process of Recovery – Curtis Strange: They’ve turned their back on a Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods is still in the process of recovery, but that does not change the fact that he is in the center of attention. Woods is always expected to comment on current situations and events in the world of golf. Curtis Strange is also an important figure in the world of golf and he commented on the complete situation surrounding LIV Golf and the participants of that tournament.
Strange put emphasis on the LIV Golf player’s move; “They’ve turned their back on a Tiger Woods when you think about it,” Strange said Friday in an interview on the Starter with Taylor Zarzour show on SiriusXM radio, as quoted by golf.com.
Strange believes that these things are not right and that the legends of this sport deserve much more than what is happening. “It’s just annoying that the game that not only do I respect and love so much, it’s the players that came before me and who paved the way.
I just think we owe them more than this”.
Mike Tirico on Tiger Woods
Mike Tirico responded to Woods’ criticism. Tirico thinks Woods made a great move “I thought what he said about the PGA Tour and the LIV Tour, and the differences between the two, the dude for a quarter-century has been the face of the PGA Tour,” Tirico began.
“He has put money in more people’s pockets — including all the guys on the LIV Tour. All the guys on the LIV tour, the PGA Tour make a boatload more money because of Tiger Woods, period. You cannot argue that statement.
“All of us in TV, the importance of golf, all of that, is because of one guy,” he continued. “And he’s been the face of it for 25 years, since ‘Hello, world,’ in Milwaukee. And for the first time, he really stepped up to be the voice in golf, putting pressure on the major championships, just laying it out there for those guys.
‘Hey, you know what, you may never experience what we’re experiencing now if you go there and you can’t get in majors.’ It was cool to see. I’m glad that he took that moment to play a card that he’s never played before”.
