Several people have received spam texts claiming Tiger Woods is dead following a head-on collision. It is nothing but a baseless rumor as he’s alive and keeping well.
The number of death hoaxes, especially concerning celebrities, has risen drastically over the past few months.
Such wild claims have resulted in a lot of confusion, leaving many convinced that something horrible had happened to a famous personality.
Professional golfer Tiger is the latest to fall prey to the sick trolls.
SPAM TEXTS CLAIM TIGER WOODS IS DEAD
A few Twitter users have shared a screengrab of messages they received that falsely claim Tiger’s death.
It reads: “Tiger Woods, who is well-known, is killed in a head-on accident.”
Apparently, this isn’t the only fake news about the golfer making rounds on the internet.
The other spam texts claim that he was involved in a collision with a pedestrian and he failed the sobriety test.
However, there is absolutely no truth in any of the above claims.
GOLFER IS ALIVE AND WELL IN 2022
Tiger is doing just fine.
He has been pretty active on social media, updating fans about his initiatives and other golf-related activities.
For the uninitiated, he had met with an accident in February 2021 and was hospitalized in the aftermath of the car crash.
He reportedly suffered multiple leg injuries and underwent surgery. He appeared for his first interview in May 2021 and said that the pain he has had to endure following the accident has “been an entirely different animal.”
“I understand more of the rehab processes because of my past injuries, but this was more painful than anything I have ever experienced,” he said.
It was revealed in June 2022 that he wouldn’t be playing in the 2022 U.S. Open.
