But money is not something that would lure in Woods. Woods is an integral part of the PGA Tour. The golf legend has been on the tour since he was 16 years old, and he played his first match in the 1992 Nissan Los Angeles Open at Riviera Country Club. And so, everyone on the official board of members, including PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan, considers Woods a crucial part of tour.
According to golf writer and author Alan Shipnuck, who was also recently in controversy after writing Phil Mickelson’s biography, Woods is going to “fly in” for a special meeting soon.
