Kate and William’s strange move with kids causes ‘uproar’ with Royals after previous decision

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s decision to ‘down-size’ and move into a new house with their children has apparently caused a bit of an ‘uproar’ with Royal insiders.
That’s the claim made by experts after the new Prince and Princess of Wales opted to move into Adelaide House – which had previously been owned by Peter Townsend, the lover of Princess Margaret during the 1950s.

Viewers of The Crown will recall Peter and Margaret were unable to marry due to his divorced status.
Adelaide House is supposedly a lot more ‘relaxed’ than other Royal residences, as it only has four bedrooms. It is located on the Windsor Estate.

But it has caused a little bit of a headache for some Royal insiders.
As the podcast Royally Obsessed (hosted by experts Roberta Fiorito and Rachel Bowie) explained, Kate and William still privately own Anmer Hall in Norfolk and previously used Kensington Palace as their home during term time so their children could attend Thomas’s School in London.

The hosts said: “They’re moving into Adelaide cottage which is such a downsize.
“It’s really low-key – just four bedrooms supposedly.
“It’s supposed to be almost like a little schoolhouse, so it’s really unprecedented that they’re making this choice.”

It’s even more unprecedented, the Express reports, because they had recently spent quite a bit of money to have Kensington upscaled.

The experts explained: “There is a lot of uproar because Robert Jobson was saying that the Waleses had £12million worth of renovations done to Kensington Palace 1A to make it family-oriented and liveable for them and their kids.
“The promise was that they’d be there for the long haul.”
However, Kate and William will keep Kensington Palace as a home, despite it being no longer their primary residence.

The hosts commented: “It’s right next to Frogmore Cottage, so if Meghan and Harry are there, there’s going to be some tension!”
