Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods will make a great story as they will play together against Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth at “The Match” The match will be held on December 10 in Florida. Tiger Woods has been away from the golf course for a long time due to the recovery process, but he can’t wait to come back and show what he is capable of.
The fans are also excited and happy that Woods will be part of the competition, and after a long break, we will enjoy his moves again. “Can’t wait to play in Capital One’s: The Match with Rory McIlroy against Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth to raise money for Hurricane Ian relief,” Woods tweeted.
“See you boys under the lights on December 10th.”
LaCava on Tiger Woods
Caddy Joe LaCava expects Woods to play at the Hero World Challenge as well. Many are optimistic that Woods will be at the Masters, which would certainly make the fans even more happy “I’m hoping that he will play maybe in December at the Hero [World Challenge] and the Father-Son [PNC Championship] and maybe the Genesis [Invitational],” LaCava told the Dan Patrick Show, as quoted by skysports.com “I’m still hoping he’ll play three, maybe four tournaments before The Masters.”
Sky Sports’ Wayne Riley also gave some assumptions and expectations when Tiger Woods could return, but still nothing is guaranteed. Riley is optimistic about Woods, and the great golfer is the only one who knows when a return could be a realistic option.
“The way I feel, I think it will be Florida Swing,” Riley said. “Maybe we’ll see him at the Honda Classic, as that’s where he lives. Maybe we’ll see him at Arnold Palmer Invitational or The Players. He’ll play before he plays The Masters, but he’ll have time out now as well.”
